very impressive review for iron man

It is just not your typical super heromotion picture, its a lot betterthan those. Regardingthe mostpart I do notfeel likeI was sitting through a regularsuperheromotion picture. There's probablya naturalsenseall throughoutthissilver screencontrary tosomesuperherofilms(butdon'timaginethingsto be credibleoccasionally). Factsare coveredabouthow almost everythingis designedand works. There is a exactmaturityinsidethe storyand stars.

The fact is, the majorfour starsin the movie  series dvd allpossesshad some bigawardsin their past.
Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) is an Americanarmssupplierwho is fabulouslyrichandlives the remarkablelife. Ladies, liquor, socials, he does it all. Standing by his side and tidying uphis various sorts ofmesses is his helperPepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). Murmuringdark thoughts in his ear is his partnerObadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) who you learnfrom the commencingis just not okay.

You can find series complete He is buildinghis father's businessintoa juggarnaut safetybusiness. His newestprotectionsystemthe Jericho can destroythe enemy. WhileStark is kidnapped on his way back from a business presentationthe seriously injuredStark is enforcedto build upa home madeversion of Jericho. With piecesof steelin his heart kept from killing him thanks tothe geniusof another captor, Stark almost virtuallyhas a change of heart--extremelywhen he viewsthe bad guys have HIS weaponry.
generate
He usesthe crude tools to makea suit of iron that can certainlysafeguardhim and attackhis captors as required. Stark discoverieshimself reenergized and with his new tinyarc reactor powering the magnet that helps to keephim alive, he sets out to undoa lot ofof the breakdownhis businesshas done by turning intoIron Man. Standing in his way is Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges superb as usual)who needsthe enterpriseto runas regularand Stark even gets flak from his stauch fansPepper (Gwyneth Paltrow)and Col. Rhodes (Terence Howard).

Gwyneth Paltrow playsPepper Pots and she is, certainly, the weakest of the supporting roles. There is  a briefhintof an unrequitedlove amongworkerand employer, made more overt during a quitegoodsceneset at Walt Disney Concert Hall. YetPaltrow is wastedin the character. While she does bring ina terrificrespectability to the character, making it better, her abilitiesweren't essentialfor Pepper Pots. Whileshe becomes endangered (which is inevitable, face it), she doesn'tstand around screeching, but she doesn'tprove to be extremelystrong either. And the flirtatiousrelationship between Tony and Pepper is generally ignored with the exception of the one picturetalked aboutearlier and a few passing references. Hopefully, this area will be extendedand enhancedupon in the next installment

Director Favreau seems toto help keepthe comedy series  enjoyablecomic book elements of the story and still puta seriousbut pleasurableelement to the movieresultingin one of the summer's best blockbusters. It may lackthe darkness of "The Dark Knight" ,butthe changingtoneof the moviehelps makeit an relaxingcompanion piece to the best of the "Spider-Man" moviesdirected by Sam Raimi.

Bear in mind: Tony Stark is a grown-up superheroandthis is a grown-up action movie. A goodbitof it takes place in a war zone, and there is plenty offorceand some torture. Surelyit is essentialto the plot, but you shouldbe awarethat this maynot be the perfectmotion picturefor smallchildren.
Seriouslyrecommended iron man dvd

adam 12, is is good

Another reality based  series box sets from Jack Webb (Dragnet, Emergency), Adam-12 was the first TV series to more realistically portray the joys & frustrations of being a police officer in the late 1960's-early 1970's. This attention to detail made the show a catalyst for uncounted numbers of people to enter law enforcement agencies when they became adults.

First of all, each movie/series dvd is 1 hour 36 minutes actual running time. The first one, "Steel Inferno" is actually quite good. It contains LOTS of fire-figthing action and rescue scenes. The fire sequences were actually BETTER than those in Towering Inferno in my opinion! It appears they had a good budget to work with, and made the fire scenes VERY realistic. And you only have to wait 20 minutes for the major action to start. The last film,The Convention, has Roy & Johnny returning to San Francisco, and following around the same cast from the last movie. This time, the final fire is a big explosion at a chemical lab working with toxic chemicals & radioactive materials. This was the best action since the fire in "Steel Inferno".

While I agree that Survival on Charter No. 220 is pretty bad, and may be the worst Emergency in adam 12: the complete series! ever made, the other films are decent quality episodes. The Steel Inferno was jarring because the gang from Engine 51 was not there, but if you watch it knowing that is the case, it is a decent quality episode. The Seattle movie is one of the best Emergency! episodes ever and many fans put it in their Top 10. The San Francisco movies are decent, although not as strong as the Seattle movie/series complete.

All in all, SHOUT! Factory is to be given major props for just getting this great show out the door, nevermind that transfers are BRILLIANT and while the extras are a bit tepid, they are there for a rainy day when Season Three is still on the drawing board... throw in handsome artwork and a meager price tag and you have a winner. And praise be NO FLIPPER discs! No not the dolphin, the discs that Universal thrust upon so many ruined boxsets (Dragnet, Quincy, A Team..)
